I Opened the Ceiling and Found THIS! 🐝 Attic Hive Rescue
In this video, I respond to a call about honey bees living inside an attic. After locating the colony, I opened up the ceiling and carefully removed the comb, brood, and as many bees as possible. The colony was relatively small, but I was able to recover brood in all stages and save most of the bees. After the removal, I transferred the brood into frames, added resources from one of my stronger hives, and set this rescue colony up for the best chance of success in its new home. Now the big question is whether the queen made it into the box and starts laying. Over the next few weeks, I'll be monitoring this hive closely for eggs, brood, queen cells, and signs that the colony is building up. If you enjoy beekeeping, hive rescues, swarm removals, and following the growth of an apiary from the ground up, consider subscribing and joining the journey. 🐝 Golden Grove Ranch 📍 Valley Springs, California #Beekeeping #BeeRemoval #HiveRescue #HoneyBees #AtticBees #BeeRescue #Apiary #GoldenGroveRanch
