It's Espírito Santo's turn! Continuing the series of interviews with progressive candidates for the 2026 elections, the Barão de Itararé Center for Alternative Media Studies will host, next Tuesday (23), at 5 pm (Brasília time), Helder Salomão, pre-candidate of the Workers' Party (PT) for Governor of the State. Broadcast live on Barão's YouTube channel, the program will feature journalists from TV 247, CartaCapital, Diário do Centro do Mundo (DCM), Revista Fórum, TVT, Viomundo and the Espírito Santo portal É Isso, strengthening the dialogue between national media outlets and the local press. Present on Barão's channel in different electoral cycles, Barão nas Eleições promotes dialogue between leaders of the progressive field and representatives of independent media, contributing to broadening the plurality of voices and improving the public debate on the projects in dispute in the country. Over the next few months, the series will continue to host guests from various regions of Brazil, always in live broadcasts and with the participation of media outlets committed to the democratization of communication. The presentation will be by Carlos Tibúrcio, coordinator of Barão de Itararé. Helder Salomão, a native of Espírito Santo and resident of Cariacica, is a philosophy professor and is currently serving his third term as a federal deputy for the PT (Workers' Party), having been the most voted parliamentarian in Espírito Santo in the 2022 elections. Before arriving at the Chamber of Deputies, he was a city councilor, state deputy, mayor, and Secretary of State for Social Assistance and Human Rights. In the Federal Chamber, he chaired the Human Rights and Minorities Commission, is a member of the Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ), and is vice-leader of the Brazil Federation of Hope. He also chaired the Mixed Parliamentary Front for Micro and Small Businesses in 2023 and 2024. Currently, he is a pre-candidate for Governor of Espírito Santo with the support of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
