AMAZING lens flares Vivitar 28mm f2 review (Sharpness, bokeh, focus breathing)
Here are the Vivitar F2 auto wide-angle specs : I found this lens in Florida for 10$ (with an old pentax camera) and it took me 7 years to actually do a review of it ! I realised how amazing the flares of this lens was and how awesome the 30cm close focusing distance is so I decided to share this little gem with you guys :) To sum it up : I do find it really sharp even at f2 It has a bit of focus breathing but nothing too bad The flares are very unique and beautiful with lots of character The Bokeh balls are not that nice with halos around the rings You can find it for around 100-1500$ Construction; 8 elements in 8 groups Filter Diameter: 55mm Aperture: f2 - f16, half clicks, with DOF scale on barrel Iris: 6 blades CFD: 0.3m / 12" Focus throw: ~ 120 deg rotation Length: 5cms. Weight: 284g / 10oz FOV: 66 Degrees (Horizontal) on full frame. More infos on this lens : https://www.pentaxforums.com/userrevi...
