Service from Sunday 22nd February, 2026 - sharing faith the Jesus way

Welcome to this service recorded at South Street Baptist Church in Exeter on Sunday 22nd February, 2026. The service is led by our minister Simon and continues our Holy Habits discipleship series for Lent. We are looking at the theme of 'Making New Disciples' through reflecting on the encounters of Jesus with different Gospel characters. This week, we consider the story of the calling of Levi the tax collector. Simon speaks of how this encounter shows that we are not to be gatekeepers of who can come into the Kingdom of God. Our task is simply to bring people to the place where they encounter Jesus and let Jesus shape who they are to be in him. This gives the Church the challenge of being the place where people truly encounter the Christ of extraordinary grace and love. We apologise that the sound is not as good as usual this week - we are working to resolve a problem with our sound system.
