Service from Sunday 14th June, 2026 - the river of grace

Welcome to this service recorded at South Street Baptist Church in Exeter on Sunday 14th June, 2026. The service is led by our minister Simon with guest speaker Dr Sam Pulmann. The service hears more of Sam's journey after her baptism on Dartmoor 3 years ago and she speaks of how the Free Church Chaplaincy at the University of Exeter (part of the Multifaith Chaplaincy) has supported and encouraged her. Simon is also the Free Church Chaplain at the university and his post is funded by Baptists, Methodists and the United Reformed Church. In the service, we use video, Bible readings, songs and liturgies written by Simon to reflect on how the imagery of the river helps us reflect on our own lives. The service includes: Welcome and Call to Worship Hymn All creatures of our God and King Opening Prayer and The Lord’s Prayer First Reading: John 7.37-44 Hymn Just a lost and lonely deer Second Reading Ephesians 3.7-21 Hymn Nourished by the rainfall Reflection The river runs on - Dr Sam Pulman Hymn O Lord my God (How great thou art) Prayers of Intercession Reflection - Jumping into the Flow Offering and Dedication Hymn Glorious things of you are spoken Blessing
