Solar Dryer (Alat Pengering Tenaga Surya)

The current process for drying agricultural products still relies on direct sunlight. Technological advancements in drying agricultural products can be facilitated by using drying equipment. Sunlight is an alternative energy source. Students from the Agricultural Engineering Department of the Faculty of Agriculture, Soedirman University (Unsoed), conducted a fieldwork experience on drying wood ear mushrooms using a solar dryer. Solar dryers offer the advantages of faster drying, greater hygiene, greater convenience, more even drying, and reduced product damage during the drying process.
