Just at the right moment, a customer who was an ayu lure fisherman and interested in tomozuri came along, so I handed him my rod and explained the technique. He immediately got a hit at the spot I'd predicted! "Seriously?!" After that, he experienced various bites and losses in a short time, and I was able to convey a little of the fun, difficulty, and depth of tomozuri. It's a different kind of fun than lure fishing.
