On June 17th, I went fishing at Shirakawa River with the Hida River Fisheries Cooperative. A few days after the season opened, some people were saying "Shirakawa is a good fishing spot this year," while others were saying "It's inconsistent, not great..." The key to conquering Shirakawa, which was somewhat polluted with algae, lay in reading the river. What spots should I target? What color is the riverbed? Did my predictions come true...?
