Joffroy, 27, has Marfan syndrome. In October 2020, he underwent surgery to replace his aortic valve. Unfortunately, surgeons were never able to restart his heart. While waiting for a new heart transplant, doctors implanted an artificial heart. Thanks to this portable device, Joffroy can move around and is not confined to his hospital bed.
