SIARGAO COMP WEEK: INTENSE BATTLE!

Join us in Siargao for one of our favorite competitions of the year, the Siargao International Surfing Cup, a 6000 Event on the WSL's QS. Starting the day at Harana Surf Resort with Varun, getting the mind and equipment ready for a full day of competition in potentially tough, stormy conditions. The first match up we have is Varun vs Westen, and as the boys await their heat they relax at the Harana restaurant, watch the comp, and make predictions for the upcoming heat. Later, on the boardwalk with the whole crew, Varun and Westen prepare to face off in their first heat of the comp, making the most of some average conditions. After a solid heat, our boys both make it through in 1st and 2nd, you'll have to watch to see who got what place. Shortly after, we have a few good heats from the day highlighted with Varun and local legend Marama Tokong, at the end of which Varun snaps his board. After Varun shares his thoughts on the heat, we catch up with Bronson and Westen as they ride back to Harana. Back at the restaurant the next day, Bronson and Varun wake up slowly while watching the women's heats and soak in a restful lay day. The next day, conditions have changed and the waves are firing. Bronson has the first heat and shreds his way to a heat win, moving one step closer to the finals. Followed by a highlight reel from the rest of the days heats featuring Bronson, Varun, Dane Henry, Made Pajar, and Harley Walters. Back at Harana the boys get fueled up for finals day and the first heat is basically a final. Bronson vs. Dane Henry in the quarterfinals, they put on a show to say the least. Watch and listen for the reactions from everyone. After an epic and tight heat, the winner is clear and Bronson moves on to the Semis. Straight into the Semi-Final, Bronson surfs against Harley Walters and throws down combo after combo and then stomps a huge alley oop, shocking everyone with his abilities. Back on the boardwalk with boys, it's pure support and stoke for our boy. Into the Final, Bronson surfs against Ben Lorentson, who made sure it was a tight heat to the very last wave, right down to the horn... Then just like that, our boy Bronson Meydi is crowned the champion of the Siargao International Surfing Cup. After a post-heat interview, our whole crew of friends and family gathers for a celebratory dinner at our favorite spot, Harana. Until next time!
