Simple Village Life | Drying Fresh Rice, Cooking Abgoosht & Baking Bread
This video is a continuation of our previous episode, where we harvested rice with a combine and brought it home in sacks. 🌾 We spread the rice on large plastic sheets in the yard. We turn the grains over and over to let them dry evenly and thoroughly in the fresh air. Meanwhile, we start preparing Abgoosht (a stew made of meat and chickpeas). While the Abgoosht simmers slowly, we lift the plastic sheets so the rice is exposed to more air. Then we prepare dough and bake fresh bread at home. At the end, we sit together and enjoy our simple, warm dinner with Abgoosht and fresh bread — a delightful ending to a simple day in the village.
