Alone Unemployed and Broke. How I survived this week on $150......
#Alone#unemployed š My Story: What Happened This Week The week started with a promise to myself. When you lose your job, the hardest thing to fight isn't the lack of incomeāit's the voice in your head that tells you to give up. Itās the temptation to stay in bed, pull the covers over your head, and let the depression take over. I refused to let that happen. Every single morning this week, I forced myself out of bed. I ran, I stretched, I pushed my body. Because right now, my health is the only capital I have left. If my mind breaks, everything breaks. But even with exercise, the anxiety creeps in. I found myself sitting at my desk, watching an old interview with Elon Musk. Watching someone talk about building rockets and colonizing Mars while I was sitting there wondering how I was going to pay my bills... it hit me like a ton of bricks. I felt a sudden surge of angerānot at him, but at myself. I told myself: 'You cannot stay here. You cannot be this stagnant. Get up and do something.' So, I went out. I walked into the city, looking at the storefronts, searching for any kind of business project I could start from scratch. I wanted to see opportunity. Instead, I saw reality. The streets were quiet. The foot traffic was gone. So many shops had 'For Rent' signs gathering dust in the windows. When I inquired about the rent for a tiny, modest shop, the owner told me it would cost $7,000 a year just for the lease. $7,000. And that doesnāt even include inventory, utilities, or marketing. For a man with zero income, that might as well be seven million dollars. It was a closed door. There are no easy business shortcuts right now. That was the moment I had to make a choice. Do I sit around and wait for a miracle, or do I drop my ego and do whatever it takes to survive? I chose survival. I took whatever part-time gig work I could find. I spent a few days waiting tables at a local restaurant, carrying heavy trays until my shoulders ached. The next day, I was at an auto repair shop, holding a high-pressure water gun, washing mud off tires, and getting grease all over my clothes. It was exhausting. There were moments, standing there under the hot sun with wet shoes, where I asked myself how I ended up here. But there was also a strange, beautiful dignity in it. By the end of the week, I counted my cash. $150. Itās not a fortune. It won't buy me a house or fund a new company. But you know what? It bought me my next week of groceries. It bought me peace of mind. It proved to me that as long as I have two working hands, I will not starve. As I sit down tonight with a cup of tea, Iām opening up 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' again. My body is tired from the manual labor, but my brain cannot stop growing. Working a temporary job keeps me alive today, but educating myself is what will set me free tomorrow. If you are going through a hard time right nowāif you've lost your job, your business, or your directionāI want you to know you are not alone. There is no shame in starting over. There is no shame in doing manual labor to feed yourself. The only shame is giving up on your future. We are going to get through this, one day at a time. Thank you for watching, for supporting, and for being a part of this journey with me. If this video resonated with you, please consider subscribing and leaving a comment below.
