Retired Navy SEAL says US strikes on Iran mark critical phase as Trump weighs next steps

The United States has carried out another round of military strikes targeting Iranian command centers, missile sites, air defense systems and maritime capabilities as the Trump administration seeks to weaken Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. The latest operations come after multiple American service members were killed in Iranian attacks, prompting President Donald Trump to consider expanding the military campaign. Speaking with The National News Desk, retired U.S. Navy SEAL Mike Sarraille said the deaths of American troops fundamentally change the nature of the conflict. "American blood changes the character of any situation," Sarraille said. "For President Trump, he now has the responsibility to respond.
