Vibram Cristy Wedge Confusion | Christy 4014 Newflex v 4377 Morflex Sole Comparison | Red Wing Soles

In this video, we take a close look at two popular Vibram Christy wedge soles – the 4014 and the 4377 – and try to clear up the confusion surrounding their weight, color, and composition. Years ago, many customers preferred to replace wedge soles with Dainite, Ridgeway, or Commando styles. These days, wedge soles are back in demand for their comfort and lightness – but not all Christy soles are the same. We compare: Vibram 4014 Christy Newflex Sole – made in the USA (or was) heavier, denser, and more durable “blown rubber” compound. Vibram 4377 Cristy Morflex Sole – made in Italy, lightweight EVA-based material, comfortable but softer wearing. We also talk through the colour confusion between white, cream, and beige, and show how these soles differ side by side in both depth and weight. If you’ve ever wondered which sole is on your Red Wings or other boots, this video will help you tell the difference. Let us know in the comments which sole you’ve used and which you prefer. Filmed in October 2025 — if you see a new color released after this, please get in touch, as we may still be able to source it. #redwing #redwingboots #mensboots #vibram #redwing #cobbler #boots #bootrepair
