Ultraman Taro vs Volkeller ----- English Title: Monster's Solo Journey Japanese Title: 怪獣ひとり旅 (Kaijū Hitoritabi) Air Date: June 22, 1973 Kotaro, Saori, and Kenichi travel by boat to Miyazaki for vacation and meet a boy named Takeshi, who is stowing away to find his father. Takeshi's father, Hayashida, is a hot spring driller on a plateau who argued with a development president after failing to find hot water. The drilling disturbs and awakens the volcanic kaiju Volkeller (ボルケラー / Borukerā), which swallows Hayashida. Takeshi believes his father was eaten by a monster and tries to reactivate the drill to draw it out. ZAT investigates, and Volkeller fully emerges, rampaging and attacking with explosive gas.
