Ultraman Taro vs Alien Kisaragi ----- Oh! Taro Is Being Eaten! (あっ！タロウが食べられる！) Air date: February 1, 1974 During the Setsubun festival, Kotaro Higashi joins in the traditional bean-throwing custom at a shrine, shouting "Oni wa soto! Fuku wa uchi!" ("Demons out! Luck in!") to drive away evil spirits. This angers Alien Kisaragi, also known as Oni Bamba—a demonic alien resembling an ogre—who views the bean-throwing as bullying against ogres and their kind. Seeing Kotaro side with the humans, the alien decides to take revenge on Ultraman Taro by targeting his human host. The alien shrinks Kotaro and a young boy named Ichiro (a friend or local child), trapping them inside a single bean. Oblivious to the danger, Ichiro's little brother Jiro picks up the bean and prepares to eat it as part of the festival fun, putting Kotaro and Ichiro in imminent peril of being consumed. The situation creates high-stakes tension and comedy as the tiny duo inside the bean desperately try to escape or signal for help while the boy brings the bean closer to his mouth. ZAT becomes involved as strange events unfold around the festival and the shrinking incidents.
