Japan during Hanami, the cherry blossom season, is one of the most iconic and fascinating natural and cultural spectacles in the world. In this video, we take you with us among sakura, temples, and onsen, to tell you about an authentic journey to Japan during cherry blossom season. Blueberry Travel designed our individual trip with stunning locations immersed in pink clouds: Nachi Taisha with the tallest waterfall in Japan, Hongu Taisha with the largest torii in the country, and a mountain boasting over 30,000 cherry trees! We even returned to our beloved Mount Fuji to see it in its springtime glory! We'll tell you about the history of Hanami, show you the best views of the sakura, and sample Japanese sweets inspired by cherry blossoms! During the trip, we had authentic and diverse experiences: we walked a stretch of the ancient Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route, slept in a Ryokan with a Kaiseki dinner, and spent a night in a Shukubo, a Buddhist temple, with meditation, sutra chanting, and Shojin Ryori meals. The video also includes a short tutorial on Onsen, traditional Japanese hot springs, to help you understand how to enjoy them to the fullest! If you want to visit Japan during the cherry blossom season, don't worry too much about the crowds: this video proves that, despite the often talked about mass tourism in Japan, there are still places and moments where silence, respect, and wonder reign.
