Restoring an Old Japanese Ryoba Pull Saw (両刃鋸) - Resharpening Every Tooth - Carpentry Tools Repair
In this video, we visit Mr. Aoki, a Master Craftsman, who teaches us how to restore and resharpen an old Japanese Ryoba Saw, in Nagai, Yamagata, Japan. The saw in this video was purchased in a secondhand shop for around 500 JPY. I was lucky to find this saw in the shop for the price and also with all the teeth still intact. It may not be the best saw by the standards of a professional Japanese carpenter. I wanted to restore this saw and give it a new life. We hope you find this video educational. Enjoy the video.
