Chünyi Festival: Kezoma village brings back millets with government support
The first edition of the Kezoma Millet Festival, known locally as Chünyi, was celebrated at Zakie ground, Kezoma village. Organised by the Kezoma Village Council with support from Agriculture and Tourism departments, the festival highlighted millet’s cultural and economic importance. After four decades, villagers have revived millet cultivation, aligning tradition with sustainability.
