[R1] RARE Schindler Freight Elevator | BSD Junction, Tangerang, ID

Nice to see this big freight elevator still alive. Apart from the repainted doors and interior everything in this elevator is still the same like on my first visit in late 2015. Featuring classic white Schindler M-Series push buttons and QKS door operator which is rather uncommon for a 2000s Schindler installation, at least here in Indonesia. The actual capacity has also been revealed thanks to a sticker below the floor indicator, in this case, 2000 kilograms. Definitely the best elevator in this dead mall. The weird thing is, while this elevator and all the escalators in this mall are Schindler, the scenic elevators are Sigma. The actual model of this elevator is Schindler 80 as stated on Schindler's 2005 group report (see link below for the archived PDF document). Schindler 80 was a freight elevator model that Schindler had sold before the introduction of the Schindler 2600 model in 2005. And seeing there are only a handful of Schindler 80 installations in Indonesia, this elevator is considered extremely rare.
