Psalm 72 – “May the King Reign in Righteousness” 👑✨

Psalm 72 begins as a prayer for a righteous king, asking God to grant justice, mercy, and wisdom to the son of David. While it spoke of the hopes for King Solomon’s reign, its language reaches far beyond any earthly king. The psalm ultimately points to the eternal reign of Jesus Christ, the perfect King whose kingdom knows no end. This worship song celebrates the Messiah who rules with righteousness, defends the poor, rescues the needy, brings peace to the nations, and whose glory will fill the whole earth.
