San Francesco Grande e la Vergine delle Rocce di Leonardo da Vinci (i video di yesmilano.com 56)

One of Leonardo da Vinci's greatest masterpieces, the "Virgin of the Rocks," and a now-extinct church of which very few images remain: San Francesco Grande, Milan's second-largest church after the Duomo. I wanted to attempt a reconstruction based on the limited available material and the texts that described it. It was a complex task, especially since art historians have written conflicting accounts of it. I struggled to embrace a theory, both regarding the church and the painting, choosing the one that seemed most plausible to me. In this work, I did not use artificial intelligence, either for the images, which I created myself, or for the texts, which are the result of my own reading of the texts.
