Visit Kamegajo Park in Inawashiro Town, where you can enjoy cherry blossoms with the snow-capped Mt. Bandai in the background. The cherry trees planted by townspeople are blooming beautifully again this year. ■Kamegajo Ruins Park (Inawashiro Town) This park was developed around the site of Inawashiro Castle. Inawashiro Castle is said to have been built during the Kamakura period, utilizing the terrain created by the eruption of Mt. Bandai. Cherry trees planted by local volunteers color the castle ruins. A visitor commented, "The cherry blossoms in Aizuwakamatsu City have already fallen, so I came here. It's wonderful to see them in full bloom. Because the mountain is terraced, there are elevation changes, which makes it enjoyable." (Photographed April 17, 2026)
