Valley Metro Rail, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport PHX to Downtown Phoenix

Riding Phoenix Valley Metro Rail (train model: Kinki Sharyo Low Floor Light Rail) from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport PHX to Downtown Phoenix. The journey begins at PHX Airport Terminal 4 Luggage Claim. After picking up my luggage, I've headed to Valley Metro Rail Station (44th Street / Washington Station). The Valley Metro Rail does not stop inside the airport, but outside. In order to reach to the train, I had to take the airport PHX Sky Train (train model: Alstom Innovia APM 200) to 44th Street / Washington Station. At 44th Street / Washington Station, I've purchased the ticket and boarded the Westbound train to Downtown Phoenix. The ride between from PHX Airport to Downtown is around 15 minutes. If you are going to Tempe, Mesa, or Arizona State University (ASU), take the Eastbound train. As of 2022, one way fare is $2.00 and Day Pass is $4.00. Also, Valley Metro Rail only has one line at this moment. The train arrives every 15-20 minutes. OPINION 💬: This one rail line connects to several major destinations in Phoenix, such as PHX Airport, ASU, or Downtown. I’m glad to see that more people in the Phoenix are utilizing Valley Metro Rail. In the future, the Purple Line will split into two lines, Red and Green Line. Valley Metro is also expanding more rail line to the Phoenix area. Also, traffic seems to go smooth around the rail line. The interior of the train is clean.
