How to make South African Snack: Amagwinya (Vetkoek)- Mnandi Delicious Episode 01

Here is the recipe on how to make Amagwinya(Vetkoek) Makes:12-15 balls of amagwinya (depending on the size) Ingredients: • 5 cups Cake Flour • 60ml Sugar • 5ml salt • 10g Instant Dried Yeast • 625ml Warm Water • Enough Sunflower Oil for deep frying Method: 1. Mix dry ingredients together: (the flour, sugar, salt and instant yeast) 2. Make a well and pour in the warm water, mix up the ingredients with a spoon and transfer to the cleaned work area to knead 3. Knead the dough until it is soft and elastic for about !10 to 20 minutes. 4. Place in a floured bowl and cover, leave to rise for a minimum of 1 hour. 5. Bring the oil to a medium heat, place the dough-balls into the oil, only a few at a time. Fry on both sides, until cooked inside and golden brown. Enjoy!
