Uganda Seeks Action on Xenophobia as Nabbanja Engages South Africa Over Attacks
The Government of Uganda says President Yoweri Museveni is engaging South African President Cyril Ramaphosa in efforts to address the harassment of foreign nationals, including Ugandans, living in South Africa. Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja revealed this while meeting 1,030 Ugandans who were repatriated from South Africa following xenophobic attacks. The returnees are currently undergoing patriotism training at the National Leadership Institute in Kyankwanzi before being reintegrated into their respective communities.
