On the afternoon of May 26, 2026, the Party Committee of Muong Vang commune held an expanded meeting of the Party Committee to discuss the proposed plan for merging hamlets in accordance with the Party and State's policy. Attending the meeting were Comrade Bui Van Tho, former Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and former Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department of Hoa Binh province; Comrade Dinh Quang Long, former Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hoa Binh province; Comrade Bui Van Ni, former Standing Committee member of the District Party Committee and former Chairman of the District Party Committee's Inspection Committee of Lac Son district; Comrade Bui Xuan Thu, former Standing Committee member of the District Party Committee and former Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lac Son district; and former Standing Committee members of the Party Committees of Tan Lap, Tuan Dao, and Quy Hoa communes from various periods. In his opening remarks at the conference, Comrade Bui Van Linh – Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of the commune – emphasized that the merger of hamlets is a major policy aimed at streamlining the administrative apparatus, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the political system at the grassroots level, and creating favorable conditions for the management, administration, and socio-economic development of the locality. At the conference, Comrade Quach Tuan Phong – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune – presented a report on the proposed plan for merging hamlets in the commune. According to the report, Muong Vang commune currently has 34 hamlets with 4,510 households, 20,841 inhabitants, and a total natural area of ​​6,975 hectares. The merger plan is being developed based on adherence to regulations and guidelines from higher levels, and is consistent with the actual conditions of the locality. During the discussion, delegates generally agreed with the proposed hamlet merger plan, especially regarding the number of hamlets after the merger and their names. Many opinions suggested that attention should be paid to retaining names with historical and cultural value, associated with the identity and spiritual life of the local people, in order to preserve the unique characteristics of each residential area. In his concluding remarks, Comrade Bui Van Linh – Secretary of the Commune Party Committee – acknowledged and accepted the heartfelt and responsible opinions of the delegates. He requested that the relevant agencies continue to review and refine the hamlet merger plan to ensure it is thorough, scientific, practical, and creates high consensus among cadres, Party members, and the people before submitting it to the competent authority for consideration and decision.
