Making an 1880s Bustle Overskirt and Ball Gown Train || A Historical Sewing Vlog

In our next installment of our 1880s ballgown, we make the bustled overskirt and the train. The overskirt, made of the same pale green silk voile and lined with green cotton, is trimmed with blonde Chantilly lace and ornamented with various cream and off white silk flowers and ribbons. The train, made of a hand dyed silk taffeta, is trimmed with a green silk knife pleated ruffle and cream silk ribbon just like the skirt from last month. The whole effect is just lovely. My only concern is learning how to dance with that train!
