How to Fabricate a J-Splint Orthosis
Occupational therapists demonstrate and explain the process of making a J-splint orthosis / hand and finger orthosis / hand splint. This video includes how to make the pattern, how to fabricate the orthosis, and how to apply straps, as well as helpful tips and tricks along the way. This J-splint design is hand-based, so the wrist is left free for motion. In this video, the MCP, PIP, and DIP joints are included in the orthosis, however it can be fabricated to only include proximal joints.
