Alastor Loves Food

Another compilation! Let me know if you like this style of editing, trying to do longer form videos on YouTube after some requests. Alastor loves food, and I’m sure as his proficiency with the buttons improves he’ll get even better at telling me he’s wasting away, food STAT! ✨ ✨ ✨ Alastor is a 2 year old unknown breed of fluffy monster, probably a mix. We adopted him in December 2024. Coda is an 11 month old mix (probably Shih Tzu-something) that Dad adopted in March 2025. Alastor’s eye was removed at the shelter before I adopted him. It had ruptured before he was found as a stray secondary to complications from a congenital condition called entropion, which causes the eyelids to roll inward towards the eye. His remaining eye was able to be saved, and the eyelid was surgically corrected! Inspiration for learning to “speak” with buttons from Hunger4Words (check her out on IG). Alastor is a great little traveler, and is very comfortable in the car and new places! ✨ A note on Alastor’s name: He was named by the shelter, and I debated changing it bc of the association with JKR. I elected not to, because my personal feelings towards Harry Potter as a story are positive, it was such a huge part of my childhood and brought me indescribable joy. I absolutely unequivocally support trans rights, full stop. The story and my interpretation/response belong to me, not JKR. My personal line is to not allow her to take that joy from me, but to also not continue to support JKR monetarily since her TERF status has come out. Keeping the name Alastor Moody gives her nothing, but it does bring me joy. If Alastor’s name is triggering, please know I completely understand your need to avoid our channel. Everyone in the LGBTQIA+ community has their own line that I respect, we are not a monolith and if someone else’s line is to avoid all things related to JKR I support their choice! 💚💚
