♡ Today I'm sharing Anne's visit to her pediatric "special needs" dentist. I'm also sharing a highly requested discussion on early autism signs with a focus on our experience. I wasn't able to get into very much detail because there just isn't enough time to really cover every single thing (plus it's hard to remember everything) but I think this is generally what we observed about our daughter which lead to an autism evaluation and later a diagnosis. Please keep in mind that autism is a DEVELOPMENTAL disorder so symptoms are observed over the course of development. So it is not odd that you may notice something different in a kiddo later rather than sooner and it doesn't mean that something villainous "happened" to cause the change.
