In my personal journey, I always thought I wasn't cut out for ultramarathons. I finished every race and long run as a puddle of cramps and fatigue, no matter how hard I worked in training. Then I went all-in on high carb fueling based on what was happening in the cycling peloton, and suddenly 100 milers felt like 10 milers used to. I went from an ultra nobody to one of the more prominent ultra runners in the world. Thank you carbs!
