The Supreme Court made it mandatory for movie halls to play the national anthem before screening films and that everyone present are supposed to stand up as a 'sacred obligation'. We ask whether imposing nationalism on individuals is right in a country whose anthem was penned by Rabindranath Tagore, who himself was critical of the concept of nationalism.
