(And took some time off for yourself, of course!) This is ‘the wood burns’ and it's a one-off single. It’s a mix of a lot of slowcore, lo-fi, emo, watery, indie folk, chamber, and field recording sounds. Inspiration from this song was taken from Duster, sign crushes motorist, old VHS, lo-fi, and cassette tapes, Mac Demarco, and Adult Swim (network). The song is about two intertwined souls (ugh, more broken romance), separated miles away and the spark is slowly dying out and fully getting extinguished, and they talk about how they miss each other. The "birds" are metaphors for problems that seep into a person's bones from the insides and out. It's from my fifth extended play, "we can't see you, we won't see you". Summary from Bandcamp: "we can't see you, we won't see you" is the fifth extended play by nicholas parker. it is also the second instrumental extended play with vocals after "SUN IS OUT", which was the second extended play. "we can't see you, we won't see you" is a depth inside of my mind. It’s my fifth and upcoming extended play and I want to make it deep and interesting as it can get. It’s also my second with vocals, prior to my second EP, “SUN IS OUT”. The EP revolves in indie rock, ambiance, electronica, watery, bedroom, emo, shoegaze, and punk themes, all around in a circle of alternative rock, and has rotating themes of depression, bullying, pollution, everyone's mental health, windows, oceans, and of course, love. "we can't see you, we won't see you" might be my most emotional and unusual release I ever have made. It's been a very long time since I uploaded on this channel and I have a good explanation why: For starters, I've been in a creative rut for a very long time, I haven't been getting into music for a while and I've been trying to find inspiration after feeling burnt out. I haven't been feeling like I've been getting work done and it all culminated into me leaving music for nine months. BUT, I am feeling pretty good and I'm back into the swing of things, for the most part. Another thing is that I've been also getting into acting. I've been starting acting around 2016 and I have been doing this a little while before starting to produce my own music. I have been doing stuff with my school and acting and hopefully when I get to college in the future, I want to juggle music and acting with ease. One more thing is that now that I'm starting senior year, I want to plan my life for adulthood and that means senior year is my final year before thrusting myself into maturity. So, I'm getting ready to grow up and 2024 has not been the easiest year for me so far, for a number of reasons. (We won't get into that). But enough said, I'm back. This teen is back and we're going into the swing of things. AND ALSO IT'S 2025, SO IT'S A NEW ERA! Much more this year!
