My Best Work on the Streets
Over the past two years, I’ve spent countless nights and afternoons walking the streets of Portland, trusting my instincts and starting conversations with strangers. This video is a compilation of some of my favorite impromptu portraits from that journey. Each moment started the same way, noticing something, feeling that pull to say hello, and letting the interaction unfold naturally. Along the way, I’ve learned how much patience & listening matter just as much as camera settings. These portraits aren’t about perfection. They’re about presence, connection, and honoring a fleeting moment with someone I'll likely never meet again. All of these were shot on the Sony A7RV, using a mix of the Sony 50mm f/1.4 and the Sony 24-70mm GM II. Thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoy this glimpse into the work and the lessons behind it. 📍 Filmed in Portland, Oregon ⚡ Impromptu Portraits of Strangers Compilation #humanconnection 0:00 - At Night On Hawthorne 3:37 - The Dudes 5:02 - The Ladies 8:51 - Stage 4 11:34 - Pale Blue Wave
