What was supposed to be a simple border crossing turned into a 30-hour descent into madness. We arrived at the Ibrahim Khalil border between Turkey and Iraq ready for a challenge — but nothing could have prepared us for the bureaucratic black hole, endless waiting, and sheer exhaustion that followed.
