Limavady 12th July Return Parade - Battle of the Boyne Celebrations 2026

#Limavady12th #BattleofTheBoyneCelebration #12thJulyParade In this video, we capture the Limavady 12th July Return Parade 2026, but it wasn’t the only parade we attended today. Luna and I set out early to take on two parades in one day, Kilrea and Limavady, both proud County Londonderry towns just 20 miles apart. Our morning began with a stop at Garvagh Forest, where Luna cooled off in the river before we arrived in Kilrea just before 9 a.m. With the field nearby and plenty of parking, we settled in to enjoy the Kilrea Main Parade. Despite the warm weather, a kind local offered his garden hose so Luna could stay cool, a real act of community spirit. The pipe bands played beautifully from the starting field, and though the gaps between bands were longer than expected, the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. After Kilrea, we travelled on to Limavady, where Luna enjoyed another dip in the River Roe before the parade began. It was incredible to see how many people recognised Luna from our YouTube videos; she was the star of the day! We found a shaded spot in the town centre, perfect for filming as the bands marched past under the summer sun. The music, the drums, and the cheers created an unforgettable scene. To finish the day, we headed to Roe Valley Country Park for a peaceful walk along the river and woodland trails, the perfect way to cool down after a full day of parades and celebration.
