Prepare thin strands of light blue, yellow, and orange glass. 2. Heat the mandrel and create a base bead with white glass. 3. Place 8 evenly spaced dots around the center of the base bead using the light blue glass. 4. Create rows of 8 light blue dots on each side of the 8 dots. 5. Flatten the dots with a knife. 6. Use a scratching stick to poke the spaces between the dots, creating a pattern of connected diamonds. 7. Heat the entire surface and use a soldering iron to neatly shape the ball. 8. Place yellow dots on top of the white diamond pattern. 9. Place orange dots on top of the light blue diamond pattern. 10. Heat the entire surface to make the dots dome-shaped. 11. Once cooled enough that the annealing material no longer sticks, place it in the annealing material.
