In 2014, Daniel Ricciardo was on top of the world. He had just won three races in his debut season with Red Bull, and finished 3rd in the standings behind only the two Mercedes cars. Many had him tipped to be a future world champion, but it has all gone very badly wrong A very unlucky season in 2018 mixed with the fact that Red Bull were heavily backing there new prospect Max Verstappen led Daniel to take a massive leap and leave the team that gave him his first chance. After a semi successful stint with Renault Daniel left in 2021 to join Mclaren, and despite being there only race winner since 2012, they paid him $18 Million just to not race for them next year. Now, halfway through the 2023 season Daniel finds himself back at Alpha Tauri, a team he drove for in 2012.
