With seas temperature around 13°C, I stuck to the shallows and planned short sessions with breaks in between. The calm weather and visibility made for some beautiful underwater moments—and a few exciting surprises! 🔱 I started in the very shallows, setting up ambushes among rocks and seagrass in search of seabass and grey mullets. After a few early encounters with cautious fish, I landed my first catches—a grey mullet and a sharpsnout seabream. Later, at a different spot, I missed a couple of good shots, but luck turned in my favor with a successful ambush on another grey mullet and an octopus. A fun chase and a bit of play with one more octopus wraps up day one. 🐟 The next afternoon, I headed to a nearby spot, hoping to find some seabass. From the very first ambushes, things looked promising. I came across a school of seabass swimming calmly over the seagrass and waited patiently for the right moment. After a few careful moves, I landed my first seabass and even spotted some bluefish swimming around! Unfortunately, I couldn't secure any more, and a surface shot on a grey mullet wrapped up the day’s catch. On my way back, I stumbled upon something unusual: an octopus feeding on a dead bluefish! 🌊 It’s been a memorable weekend full of action, close calls, and amazing encounters.
