The Westwall was one of the largest fortifications of World War II and was intended to serve as protection against a possible invasion by France. It stretched from Switzerland to the Hunsrück and includes many kilometers of bunkers. Today, we'll take a closer look at one of these old bunkers in this video. It's a so-called B-Werk (B-Werk). B-Werks were particularly heavily fortified positions with underground tunnels designed for defense. Compared to other West Wall bunkers, the B-Werke bunkers boasted particularly robust construction. However, exploring this abandoned bunker was life-threatening, as it looked as if it had been hit or blown up. We also found kilometers of tunnels deep underground. But that's not all! In this video, we also look at other air raid shelters from World War II, but even here, this exploration was extremely life-threatening.
