Sign your pottery like a professional.
Making a chop to sign your Production Pottery, Beginning Pottery. In this tutorial we discover how to design and make a simple pottery chop or stamp. This stamp will allow you to consistently and professionally sign your pottery. This is the 4th video in the Production Pottery series. We carve our chop design into plaster giving us a master design to render our stamps. You will need a small block of plaster; this could be the side of plaster casts or molds you already have in your studio. You will also want an exacto-knife, dental tools or pottery needle tool, sharp pencils, single edge razorblade and some clay. This should be a fun project and is the lead into making stamps, sprigs and press molds in future videos. Please find us on Instagram: / itsclearasmud
