Art is for Everyone: Creating Your Own Chop

Many of you requested a video on making your own chop to imprint your artwork with your own special symbol. I hope this helps to inspire you! When you do, be sure to tag me on Instagram @kateriewing, or send to me on Facebook at Kateri Ewing - Watercolours. I love seeing how you use the lessons to create your own art! A word about chops: Chops are a very personal thing. You can find out more about them at www.blueheronarts.com or at www.oas.com. I purchased mine while on a trip, in a little Tibetan store. Soapstone is very soft and easy to carve, so I carved my own using my personal monogram. You can use any symbol that is meaningful to you! Also, there are many videos on YouTubes about chops. here is one to start with:    • The Art of Chinese Chop or Seal Carving(1)   To purchase a blank chop seal from Henry Li: https://www.blueheronarts.com/seal-st... And the book I mentioned, here is a link! https://www.amazon.com/Craftsman-Japa... Any questions? Please ask. I’m here to help! And please subscribe to my channel for updates on all the latest videos. Thanks so much for watching! :) Check out my classes on Craftsy.com! They are all meant for beginners :) Start-Up Library: Watercolor http://shrsl.com/r3lz See Better, Draw Better http://shrsl.com/r3m9 Improve Your Paintings: Luminous Watercolor Mixing http://shrsl.com/ Music by Epidemic Sound.
