Exploring the ruins of Casa do Caramujo, standing at 1,300m on the Paul da Serra plateau. Is it true what the elders of São Vicente say? Was this a secret sanatorium? In this video we traverse a difficult path from Bica da Cana to Casa do Caramujo. Recent storms have left the trail blocked by fallen Urzes and Pau Branco, turning a 2.2km walk into an hour-long struggle. I was also curious to see the state of the house, as it's been a few years since I've been there.
