He is probably the only person to have known both Jean-Luc Mélenchon and Marine Le Pen closely. He is perhaps the best person to answer this question: Is the National Rally (RN) left-wing? He is joined by Pierre-Jean Chalençon, Eric Tegnér, Greg Tabibian, and Charbel Lakisse. Andréa Kotarac participated in the founding of Jean-Luc Mélenchon's Left Party in 2008, was in charge of youth for Mélenchon during the 2012 presidential campaign, and was elected to the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regional council in 2015 at only 26 years old. At the end of 2015, he worked on the founding of La France Insoumise (LFI), a movement initially established to unite the French people against the oligarchy. A proponent of a sovereigntist line within LFI, the rise of Islamo-leftists within the party led him to leave. He resigned from LFI and called on voters in the 2019 European elections to vote for Jordan Bardella and Marine Le Pen to resist Macron's anti-social juggernaut. Advocating a social, localist, and environmental agenda, with a keen eye for international relations, he has been photographed in discussions with current and former heads of state from Niger, Syria, Bosnia, Lebanon, and Serbia.
