India Advances 15,000 Crore AMCA Stealth Fighter Project Amid Engine And Time Challenges | BattleCry

The Ministry of Defence has issued a request for proposal for the fifteen thousand crore rupee Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft project. This initiative aims to develop a fifth-generation stealth fighter jet featuring supercruise capabilities, internal weapon bays, and advanced artificial intelligence systems. The project faces significant challenges, primarily concerning engine development and strict timelines. Initial prototypes are expected to be powered by American General Electric F414 engines, while future variants will require a co-developed indigenous engine. The project involves private sector consortiums, including Larsen and Toubro, Tata Advanced Systems, and Bharat Forge, while Hindustan Aeronautics Limited has not been included in the primary program. The first prototype is expected by twenty twenty-eight, with serial production targeted for the mid-twenty-thirties.
