#11 REASONABLY FINE ART TALK with Charlie Hunter: Arch Bridge
It's easy to feel like a painting has gone off track, crashed into a guardrail, rolled a few times, and now should just be destined for the scrapper's torch. But, fairly often, if one re-approaches the wreckage after letting things cool down a bit, one discovers undreamed-of possibilities. This week we take a look at a painting that started out as an abstracted apple orchard, went to Lowell, Massachusetts, picked up some midwestern factory girls along the way, and ended up as the iconic Arch Bridge that spanned the Connecticut River at Bellows Falls, Vermont.
