Dominicusstrasse in Berlin, 1964

This footage from the television show "Berliner Straßen heute" 1964, shows the Dominicusstreet in Berlin-Schöneberg. With a length of 800 meters it connects the western city center with the southern districts. The short clip shows the changes of the last couple of years. Due to blastings and demolitions, the Dominicusstreet is now 36 meters larger and can thus withstand the flow of traffic. This year, further construction measures are planned to give the Dominicusstreet a modern, new and spacious cityscape. The widening of the street is to be completed by 1965.
