I've thought about the subject and I have a formed idea: nobody "writes well." Some "rewrite well" and, with that, produce more concise, clear, and efficient texts. The secret lies in reading what you've just written, identifying the excesses, and correcting them with your pen. Hence, it would be more accurate to say that nobody writes well the first time. Rewriting consists of purging the unnecessary. Once, I revised a book by a famous author and threw away so much—naturally and especially—that it would fill a truck. The book improved considerably. Rewriting requires putting yourself in the reader's shoes and asking yourself if the information needs certain additions. One of them is "it's worth noting that..."—followed by the information you want to emphasize. Try cutting out "it's worth noting" and going straight to the information. You'll discover you won't lose anything by doing so. And, just like "it's worth noting," there's "it's good to emphasize," "it's important to highlight," "it's advisable to point out," etc., and, of course, "to punctuate" (why not "to use commas"?).
