In this video I attempt my first ever ice camp on Lake Winnipeg, battling strong winds while setting up camp and fishing through the ice for walleye & burbot. What started as a simple ice fishing trip quickly turned into a real winter challenge. With gusty winds, freezing temperatures, and a long night on the frozen lake, this was my first experience ice camping and it definitely tested me. This trip was all about learning, pushing myself outside my comfort zone, and experiencing winter camping in one of Manitoba’s most iconic ice fishing locations, Lake Winnipeg.
